MY MISSION
Cami & Oliver Fine Art Engagement Session UT
I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time working closely with Cami and Oliver back at the end of 2019 when I took their wedding pictures!
They met each other in high school, and ended up graduating, and being high school sweethearts.
When I get to do anniversary sessions or have clients that I get to follow and be a part of their life after their wedding, that is one of my favorite things.
This session was special to me. All of my brides & grooms are special to me. #KKPbrides forever! You are stuck with me!
For their session, we met at the Kays creek trail in Layton, Utah. Just off of Highway 193. This is the trail just below Hobbs Creek dam. This is one of my favorite spots to take pictures. I love it here because of how green it is for most of the year. The different shades of green trees, grass, and shrubbery. That’s the summer I live for!!! The trail is almost exactly as it sounds. You drive down in the gully, park in their quant parking lot. And walk right onto the small paved trail. Once you get down there, it feels open. A gully, but with large flat and rolling hill areas at the bottom. In the middle of the gully is a small stream that runs from each end. Quiet, beautiful, and almost tranquil.
The air was warm. The sun is almost setting behind the mountainside above us. We were able to get some light golden hour pictures as well as shaded ones too. I love them all & had such a hard time picking my favorites!
Cami and Oliver have a fun playful relationship. Just any couple in a Romantic comedy movie! They laughed and laughed, gave me cheesy smiles, and made goo goo eyes at each other the whole entire time. I LOVED It. It was loads of fun!
We ran around, they gave each other piggyback rides, with lots of cuddles, and kisses in between and during! We also got some GORGEOUS intimate pictures for them to display in their home.
During my sessions, I get to know couples better. I get to have a birds-eye view of all of their actions and words towards each other.
I can always tell within the first 5 minutes if we are going to get along or not. Usually, I prepare people before meeting me so they have a good idea of what they are getting themselves into.
After our session was over, we said our goodbyes, and Cami and Oliver told me they were going to Cafe Rio after for a fun post-couples session date.
Couple sessions make for the best date nights! I recommend them to all my brides and grooms for years to come!
